Biography[]
Rick Martinez was born January 21, 1996, in Brooklyn NY. Later in life, he slowly worked his way up to the USAF Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base in California. There, he made his mark as a top-notch pilot and earned respect from his peers and commanders.
At age 15, he realized that his ultimate goal was NASA, his first step was to get his Bachelor of Science in Astronomical Engineering at the United States Air Force Academy. While at the academy, he became an amateur boxer and won a gold medal when leading the Falcons to a National championship.
As he is preparing for the Ares III mission, he is getting full support from family and friends and has a wish that one day, everyone will have an opportunity to visit space.
